The Party: DC’s technorati exchanged their PDAs for some high fashion looks at the Microsoft-sponsored Geek 2 Chic party at Bloomingdale’s in Friendship Heights. CEOs and Vps strutted their stuff on the runway, then dined on mini burgers and hot dogs.
The Players: The whole event was Star Wars themed, and Darth Vader himself was on hand to greet guests and serve up special Vaderinspired cocktails and Yoda-shaped cookies.
Best in show: All ticket sales and ten percent of purchases that evening benefited the Heart of America Foundation, a non-profit that builds libraries for under-served kids.
