Photo Credit:Alfredo Flores, Special to Metromix

The people who make sure you have a great time every weekend finally got a chance to let loose at their own bartenders ball benefiting Children's National Medical Center and Saint Ann's Infant & Maternity Home charities. In 1987 Frank Zinzi, with sons Frank Jr. and Chris, held the first Zinzi Christmas Party in their suburban Washington home as means for friends and family to get together. Each year the party grew and grew and grew, and after a while the ol' backyard could no longer sustain the large volume of guests. This year's edition was held at the at Grand Hyatt Washington. It is now co-sponsored by nearly four dozen corporations and local businesses, plus a number of individuals serving as co-hosts. Moreover, it has since become the preeminent holiday event of DC's bar, restaurant and nightclub industry; and in doing so, it has raised thousands of dollars in support of various local and national charities.
